Arch. Daniel van der Merwe has been a practising Architect since 1992 and is the founding member of Leaf Architects. He was a senior lecturer at the University of Johannesburg and was at the Cement and Concrete Institute between 2008 and 2013 heading the architectural concrete focus area. Daniel is currently serving a second term as Board Director of the Owl House Foundation and is the current Treasurer of the GIfA Management Committee.

Arch. Maria Paschini is a Professional Architect, Arbitrator, and Sustainability consultant in Johannesburg. She lectures on sustainability and energy efficiency for the built environment.
