Arch. Daniel van der Merwe has been a practising Architect since 1992 and is the founding member of Leaf Architects. He was a senior lecturer at the University of Johannesburg and was at the Cement and Concrete Institute between 2008 and 2013 heading the architectural concrete focus area. Daniel is currently serving a second term as Board Director of the Owl House Foundation and is the current Treasurer of the GIfA Management Committee.

Arch. Maria Paschini is a Professional Architect, Arbitrator, and Sustainability consultant in Johannesburg. She lectures on sustainability and energy efficiency for the built environment. In 1996, Maria founded MCP Architect & Arbitrator and has worked in several different-sized practices as well. Maria has co-presented the Professional Practice Workshops for GIfA and mentors young women architects/architectural students through the W.H.Y Project.

Arch. Krynauw Nel graduated from Wits University in 1989 with a 6-year B. Arch and founded Krynauw Nel Associates in 1994. The practice executes various types of projects, including commercial, industrial, residential and "special" projects. It has garnered multiple and international awards including a project that achieved a "global best". Krynauw is the Immediate Past President of GIfA, has chaired both its Practice and Transformation Committees (having founded the latter) and has served SAIA on its equivalent committees and at the JBCC as a director and member of the Previous Technical and now Drafting Committees. He is a qualified Estate Agent and also a qualified Sectional Title Practitioner.
