Inclusive Design Workshop Inclusive Design: Ensuring Dignity, Encouraging independence and Creating Awareness.

“Disabilities is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. Disability is thus not a health problem. It is a complex phenomenon, reflecting the interaction between features of a person’s body and the features of the society in which he or she lives” - World Health Organization.

The workshop covers universal design which speaks to understanding disability pertaining to the:

•vision impairment

•deaf or hard of hearing

•mental health conditions

•intellectual disability

•acquired brain injury

•autism spectrum disorder

•physical disability

A general explanation of Part S is also covered.

This workshop is engaging and will involve a Q&A component. A CPD certificate of completion will be awarded to each attendee.
