Arch. Linda Felix Mampuru is currently the Chief Architect at the National Department of Public Works and has been for the past 17 years. After graduating from Wits University in 2006, he gained experience across various private sector companies, including Mike Payne Architects, Motsepe Architects, Osmonde Lange, and his own firm, MRC Architects.
Arch. Linda is a former GIfA Vice President and has contributed to several boards including:
- CSCC (Construction Sector Charter Council)
- SACAP
- UIA Scientific Committee
- UIA Steering Committee
- SAUArch (SA Union for Architects)
- SAIA Transformation Committee
He has presented on numerous platforms, both locally and internationally. Passionate about holistic transformation, he emphasizes the importance of not merely focusing on numbers but also on streamlining legislation and practice throughout the entire value chain of the built environment.
Bringing the Government closer to the lived reality of what architects do has always been at the forefront of his daily work. Arch. Linda continues to advocate for the protection of the architectural profession and its practitioners.
