Polished Concrete is a combination of mechanical grinding,

honing, and polishing, combined with chemical densifying

to produce a fully refined surface that is dust proof, light reflective, stain resistant, durable and easy to maintain.


Upon completing this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Understand the definition of ground and polished concrete 
  2. Understand the type of equipment required for these projects
  3. Understand basic diamond tooling
  4. Understand how to specify ground and polished concrete
  5. Understand densifying chemicals and stain protection
  6. Understand basic mix design requirements for polished concrete
  7. Understand maintenance for ground and polished concrete
  8. Understand sustainable contributions for ground and polished concrete
